365° PROTECTION

HYP-E's equipment and functionality are entirely dedicated to the needs and lifestyle of urban commuters. By taking a 365-degree approach, the helmet highlights their commitment to more sustainable mobility by bike all year round. In the ACE variant, the visor and earmuffs additionally protect against wind and weather.

A distinctive lighting concept consisting of rear, front and indicator lights, inspired by the automotive industry, ensures 360° visibility and signals the presence of cyclists on busy roads or when visibility is low. The front and rear lights are seamlessly integrated into the HYP-E's multi-cell design and emphasize its premium look and feel. Thanks to a remote control for the handlebars, you can activate the indicator light, operate it intuitively and clearly signal any change of direction in advance.

Comfort in all weathers

The ventilation on the top of the head is regulated by a clever Vent system: if the weather changes, you can easily close the helmet's large ventilation openings with the VentCover. This solution is inspired by winter sports and aims to support commuters through all seasons. The EarPads and the MagneticVisor also ensure wearing comfort all year round: while the earmuffs keep your ears warm, the visor protects the eyes from dust, wind or insects.

More protection on the electric bike

The HYP-E also meets the strict standards of NTA 8776 - the world's first safety standard specifically designed for S-Pedelec riders. Helmets meeting the NTA standard are tested at much higher impact speeds, provide better protection at the back of the head and temples, and can absorb greater impact forces.

    Technical characteristics

    • A 365-degree approach: 360-degree visibility and optimal protection 365 days a year, in all weathers - this is what the lighting concept and comfort features of the HYP-E guarantee.
    • More visibility: the front lighting, rear light and indicators allow you to be visible in traffic. Choose between five different lighting modes for the front light and rear light: Steady, Power, Flow, Pulsing or Flashing - depending on the light conditions and whether you want to save battery capacity.
    • Cable-free remote control: You can activate and control the indicator light easily and safely using the included rechargeable radio remote control for the handlebars. A sound signal on the headset as well as LEDs on the remote control tell you that you are flashing.
    • Weather-resistant design: in good weather and summer, large ventilation openings provide pleasant ventilation. In case of rain or cold, you close these openings using the VentCover located on the top of the head.
    • Individual wearing comfort: With the height-adjustable Zoom Spin adjustment system, you can adapt the helmet to the shape of your head using an adjustment wheel on the back of the head and make room for a braid. You can adjust the straps by tightening or loosening them using the FlapDivider located under the ears.
    • Magnetic chin buckle: You can open the chin strap with one hand thanks to the easy-to-use magnetic closure.
    • Heated earmuffs: EarPads protect you from rain, cold or wind and are included in the ACE variant's packaging. Simply pass them through your helmet straps and attach them to the bottom edge of the helmet.
    • Adapted visor: whether against insects, dust, wind or rain, the MagneticVisor in its “clear” version optimally protects your field of vision. In the ACE variant, it is included in the packaging and you can easily attach it to the MagneticHub of your HYP-E.
    • Rechargeable components: You can charge the helmet lights and the remote control for the flashing lights with the included USB-C charging cable. LED indicators on the headset and on the remote control show you the charging status.
    • Easy to use: you can activate the front and rear lights using the on/off button on the back of the helmet. Press the button for about a second to turn on the lights. Then simply press briefly to switch from one lighting mode to another. A long press will turn off the lights again.
    • Reliable Communication: The flashing light and remote control communicate via a reliable 2.4 GHz radio signal, based on OXI® wireless technology. The remote control is permanently operational and is activated by a radio signal from the headset.
    • A safe companion: in addition to CE and CPSC certification, the helmet meets the more demanding NTA 8776 standard for S-Pedelecs with stricter test criteria - thanks to lower temple and neck protection as well as thicker EPS material, it is suitable for bicycles with an electric motor and at higher speeds.
